Deptford, in close proximity to the Canary Wharf and is currently undergoing a massive regeneration. It was originally known for its Royal Docks and has a rich and colourful history.

Dozens of projects are underway that will provide significant numbers of new homes and jobs for the area, along with major improvements to the local infrastructure and environment. No wonder developers are hoping to turn it into the Shoreditch of South London.

With a growing number of artists and creatives calling Deptford home, and a vibrant music and arts scene, the area has also been gaining somewhat of a reputation as a ‘cultural hub’.

The redevelopment of the 40-acre Convoys Wharf into mixed use buildings will bring about 3 500 new homes and an extension of the town centre northwards towards the river, not to mention new jobs in construction.
